"Education is not the amount of information that is put into your brain and there is a riot, which makes your whole life useless. We must have life-building, human-building, character-building, assimilation of ideas. . "--- Swami Vivekananda The eternal words above define an autonomous body under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan- Ministry of Human Resource Development of India. KVS is a vibrant and premier educational institution in the field of quality school education. The KVS Jammu region was established in 1984 and currently has jurisdiction over 38 KVs located in Jammu and Kashmir, with a dedicated, well-equipped and committed team of effective management and teachers for the intellectual, moral and spiritual development of the students. Under is working in the same direction. A galaxy of multidisciplinary curricular activities is organized on a regular basis to bring out the best in students. ‘All round personality development’ is an important focus area to enable our students to march with the ever changing world of technology and globalization. We believe in inclusive education with principle "to inspire the weak, to address the average and challenge the gifts". We are proud to help our students develop and develop the next generation sensitive and responsive citizens. Our students have achieved many milestones in the past and I sincerely hope that this quest for excellence and achievements will continue in the future as well.

Albert Einstein’s saying goes on “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think”. Our children are our strength and source of inspiration. We are an inclusive, caring school where staff, parents and students from diverse backgrounds work together in the shaping of young lives. Every kid is a source of potential, which we at Kendriya Vidyalaya Jyotipuramrecognize and respect. It is our responsibility to nurture the creative spirit inherent in every child. We are committed to continuous improvement in creating a learning environment that enhances values, self-esteem, responsibility and accountability in partnership with parents. A variety of facilities and opportunities are provided to our children so that they may hone their skills and maximize their potential. The ability to produce work of superlative nature is our aim. Good work is not only recognized here but is also rewarded. We, at KV Jyotipuram, have implemented all the directives of the KVS in all sincerity. The needs of 21st century are different and so the school is turning over a new leaf. We wish to produce leaders who will take on responsibility and have the courage to be instruments of change. The process of Digital Education has begun for all intents and purposes. It aims to increase student attention as well as familiarity and comfort with technology. We take pride in our alumni who are shining in various fields like Engineering, Medicine, Defence Forces, Business, Fashion, Administration and the like. It is an appeal to them to remain in touch with their Alma Mater and stand by the present generation as their motivating and guiding light. We aspire to have a brighter future, for the foundation laid by the ‘students of the past’ is but milestones to reaching the destination. Please stay updated with all our activities, events and achievements at our website. We cherish our association with family, friends and well-wishers.
